Cocorico ! is not just a brand, it is a French experience.

Bonjour!  My name is Elodie Habert, and I am the founder of Cocorico !. I find cooking inspiration in my travels and in the time I have spent cooking with my mother. As a child, I loved tasting new recipes and discovering new foods. I have always enjoyed eating, and watching others delight in a good meal. Sharing a meal with the people you love is a gift, and a social time so valuable to me.

Meet the owner!

Originally from Toulouse (France) I moved to Nashville in 2016, thanks to my husband’s work assignment. After two exciting years exploring and being immersed in the American culture, we have decided to settle and build our life here. The Cocorico! adventure started in May 2018 and the company has never stopped to grow since then.

It is in the stories you tell me when you stop by the bakery & cafe, about your high school French classes and your trips to France, that I find motivation to share my passion for food. These interactions are the reason I excitedly wake up early to bake for you!

The Beginning!

In May of 2018, a friend and I created Cocorico ! with the ambitious and exciting goal of bringing authentic French cuisine to Nashville. What began as a hobby has turned into a full-time job for me thanks to the community’s response to our food!

The French experience!

To keep the menu authentic, I offer products with ingredients that are in season, and I use the recipes that I brought with me from France. All of Cocorico’s products are baked daily, with l’amour, and from scratch. My goal is simple: To transport you to the South of France with your first bite of one of my homemade goods!  Cocorico! is not just a brand, it is an authentic French experience.

Cocorico Bakery & Café is now open!

We opened our first location in January 2024 and are very excited to welcome you to our own little French corner. We offer a freshly baked selection of goods for breakfast and lunch as well as prepared food including: croissants, baguette sandwiches, grain bowls, salads, quiches, French baguettes and a full coffee bar. We also support the local Farmers Market community by carrying some goods from our favorite friends vendors! Come visit (more info here).

Fun Fact!

The rooster is a symbol of France, and “Cocorico” is the French word for the sound it makes!
